For how long have you been educating yourself on how to start your online career, and to make an even better income than you were earning while working for a boss? Or maybe you have just graduated and are trying to pay off quickly and easily your university degree? Or you are unemployed because of recent drop off’s and need to sustain yourself and your family with a new online venture?
Really – no matter what the reason may be, or that you are a new comer, or you have been busy with it for sometime. You have probably bought different Internet Marketing products, such as, courses, and e-books, or memberships by various IM Gurus? And your email inbox has been growing by leaps and bound with every single day? If this is you, than Welcome to the Club my friend! Which Club you may question? Well, the club of the never ending IM newbe’s. The Club of buyers. And on the last place, the Club of the future IM Guru’s wannabe’s.
Most of us that have been online and confronted with the Internet Marketing industry for years are making their living in one niche or another. But most of these entrepreneurs are not in the Internet Marketing niche. How come? Well, from experience, and I can only vouch for myself here, the competition is quit fierce while the market is not really that huge. No matter what the Gurus will try to convey to you, this niche is not that huge and the competition is very large.
Than, the same promotions are sent to the same people by every Guru, and every news letter, thus, at the end of the day you have hundreds of emails coming from different sources while promoting the same products. The only difference that you will see in these emails are probably the bonuses that you will receive by the openings of new Internet Marketing products. And the higher, the price of these products – the higher, the value of the bonuses will be. And nothing incorrect with that either, as you will be getting double the value of what you’ll be paying for.
So, what is the problem than you’ll be asking? The problem is that what the courses, and products will be teaching you is how to do the same – starting with growing the list. The list of the future buyers of your products, or the products of JV partners of yours. Than you’ll be adding to the problem of info and email overload as much as everyone else making the problem larger with every single day. And depending on what your priorities are, and what exactly you are after – you will stay and keep doing the same as what you have been taught by the gurus, or you will find another niche and will start growing your income in a different way, or you will stop with the online venture all together.
And the last point here above is incalculated as well in what you have been taught. Only 5% or less are making it to start with an online venture, and, but 0.5% are becoming Millionaires, or Gurus. The rest keeps buying and waiting for the “new magic pill” solution for an online success until they drop off too.
The amusing thing is that the Guru’s will keep producing new courses which will make you see how to get the “non buyers” to start buying again, or to leave your lists. And nothing incorrect with this either. Since you yourself have not become one of these “non buyers.”..
Making lists could be the body and soul of your online business. Nevertheless the marketers should take better care of these lists. After all, if you are on the list of students on how to become the same as they are – why are they pitching to you the same stuff as they are to online newbe’s? And at the same time selling you their new products on how to make the “non buyers” – buyers again? Well, simply because they do not see you as their future JV partner or the “Future Guru”. And, than, they do not see how you could be both a buyer and their student.
At a certain point you have your list and start doing the same as the Guru’s that taught you. Or you have become so sick and tired of the daily Internet marketing email overload that you cannot go ahead by making a list of the same people that are already subscribers of the Guru’s.

My advice is – if you build a list and are in the Internet marketing niche, do NOT send emails daily to your subscribers. No matter what the Gurus are teaching you. Go with your guts and only send your list emails promoting the products that you really reckon are superb and will give them value for the money – not more than twice a week – maximum. And not just every new product of all the JV partners of yours, or all the gurus you know. Than you could send them other two emails without any promotion but with helpful info, or tools that will be usable to them. Talk to your subscribers, and answer on their comments on your blogs posts – and if not able to do it personally because of lack of time – than make a new post addressing their questions and queries.
The largest mistake, the Guru’s are making is when they loose contact with their lists and subscribers, and contact with the reality online… As no matter how professional their customer support staff is they are remaining blind for the problems that keep growing.
The rates of refunds will keep growing and so will the unsubscribe requests. Kind of like what is going on with the World economy currently. This one will be handled in another post of mine and on a different blog.
